HELICOIL® plus thread inserts are made of austenitic chrome-nickel steel (tensile strength of at least 1400 N/mm2). The rolled nut thread has a high surface quality. This guarantees a strong, wear-resistant yarn with extremely low and constant Gewindereibmoment. In Wiederholverschraubungen, therefore, a higher and constant preload force is achieved with the same tightening torque. At the same time, this leads to better utilization of the yield strength of high-strength bolts. Torsional stress is significantly reduced: Compared to chopped strands, the surface roughness of HELICOIL® plus is up to 90 percent lower.
