How to choose the bike stem?
Choosing a quality stem is essential because it is one of the parts of the bike that suffers greater wear and tear with use. It is the connecting element between the handlebar and the frame , hence the quality must prevail over the price.
Among all the powers that we have in our store, we give you a choice between threaded and Ahead (without thread). All of the best brands and with different designs and colors, so that you can choose the one that you like the most or that suits the color and type of your bike. As for the material with which they are made, they are carbon, steel or aluminum .
The threaded stems are the most traditional and suitable for city bikes , if this is your case. They allow you to adjust the height of the handlebar without moving it from its vertical.
The stems Ahead , are more aimed at road bikes and MTB . They can move along the axis until they are adjusted to suit you. The handlebar can be raised through spacers. You will see that the road stems are thinner and longer, while the MTB stems are more robust and short.
